Walking is good exercise, an excellent natural exercise that can help you stay healthy, live longer, control your weight and keep happy; the closest thing to perfect exercise.

On these pages you will find information about us, the Ramblers Preston Group, and what you need to know in order to join us.

We invite you to come and enjoy time with us and join us on our led walks.

At the week-end our walks are of moderate difficulty and are between 7 to 13 miles.  Our short easy and leisurely mid-week walks are between 4 to 6 miles.

Many of our walks are in and around Lancashire, but now and again we venture further a field into the Lake District and West Yorkshire.

To give you an idea of the places we visit, the site contains photographs taken on our walks by group members. In some cases a larger more detailed picture is available by left clicking the photo. Be patient; they are largish files!

Members of other Ramblers groups are most welcome to join up with us and often do so; in a reciprocal way, our members often join up with other groups.

Not a member of the Ramblers?  New members to the group are always welcome.  We invite you to join us as a guest on a couple of walks to sample our walks and companionship.

To obtain further details of our group and our walks, please use the form on the contact page.
