Get Walking Keep Walking is a Ramblers project aimed at helping people, especially in towns and cities, improve their health and well-being by walking regularly and locally.

On our website users can:

  • Learn more about the benefits of walking and find useful hints and tips on getting started.
  • View and download an ever growing number of short and easy walking routes specifically designed for beginners.
  • Find out about led walks in their area.
  • Complete an online version of our popular 12-week walking plan. It's a free motivational tool designed for people new to walking, to help gradually build activity levels over time. Users can schedule walks, set personal goals, save their favourite walks from across the web, keep track of how many steps they have walked so far and set a start date that suits them.
